Poetry Analysis

"The end of a relationship is always hard, especially if it was shrouded with expectations and hope from the start. Knowing it is not working but not wanting to appear a failure means that sometimes people have to build a tolerance to the inevitable, but to do so means the relationship dies by a thousand cuts and it becomes a wounded thing limping to its grave. Partners without words use symbols to communicate distress and anger like removing wedding rings after conflict. But despite being in a bad relationship we are still like the bridesmaid at a wedding, clutching the thrown bouquet which becomes a symbol of redemption,  patience and a reignited hope that the 'one' is out there. We are ready for them and just waiting for them to appear. Such is the power of love."
